Trauma: Its Effect on Clinicians and Caregivers
Keeping our Compassion and Passion Alive

If you work in a ‘people helping profession’ you are likely to be affected by trauma that has been experienced by your ‘clients’. The impact of such trauma on clinicians and caregivers is known as ‘compassion fatigue’, ‘burnout’, ‘vicarious traumatisation’, or ‘secondary traumatic stress’. This
experiential workshop offers a three-stage psychosocial developmental model to assist you in acknowledging the impact of trauma, recognising early warning signs, and creating strategies to counter-balance this impact.
